AIA and LightFair

- Both of the tradeshows that we attended this spring were great successes. We saw lots of innovative new products and met plenty of new people. We will shortly be sending off an electronic packet of information to everyone who came by our booth, so if you requested one and don't receive it by the end of the week, it might mean that our scanner did not read your badge properly. Please let us know if this is the case, and we will make sure to add you to our list of new contacts and send that information to you right away. Thanks very much to everyone who took the time to speak with us in the midst of these widely attended conferences. There were hundreds of wonderful products on display, and we appreciate that we received so much attention. We enoyed some engaging conversations and learned a lot, and we look forward to speaking with you all further.

- LightLouver LLC will once again be exhibiting at the AIA conference and at LightFair International. AIA is being held at the Boston Convention Center this year, May 15 - 17, and LightFair is being held at the Las Vegas Convention Center May 28 - 30. We are ready to make some new contacts and talk about the exciting new developments that have taken place over the last year, from the expansion of our business team to the inception of some new product designs. Michael Holtz and Don Frey will be at booth #13064 at AIA, and Zack Rogers and Mike Plann will be at booth #1574 at LightFair. If you would like a free floor pass to either show, let us know and we would be happy to send one to you.
LightLouver Joins the Daylighting Collaborative.

- LightLouver LLC has officially signed on as a sponsor of the Daylighting Collaborative. Their website, www.daylighting.org, has lots of useful information about daylighting and green building in general. We are pleased to be listed amongst the industry's other leading daylighting and solar control products, and to be a part of such an important and effective organization.
New Business Manager Joins the LightLouver Team.

- We are happy to announce that we have hired a new full-time business manager to assist in LightLouver operations. With seven years experience managing small businesses and ten years in the building industry overall, Mike Plann is a welcome addition to our team. Mike's role is to take over the business operations and project management aspects of LightLouver, freeing up time for the rest of the team to work on product development and provide technical assistance to our clients.
Kinard Junior High is Awarded 3rd Design Honor

- The Kinard Core Knowledge Junior High School project was recently awarded the Building of America honor as one of the 50 best new construction projects within the Colorado region. To maximize student academic performance, designers integrated daylighting, using the LightLouver™ Daylighting System, into all classrooms. In the two years since the school opened its doors, the school has won multiple design awards, including the Fort Collins Urban Design Award for Green Design, 2006, and CEFPI Rocky Mountain Chapter Peak Design Award.

LightLouver™ Project Wins Prestigious Award

- The American Council of Engineering Companies/ Vermont awarded its 2005 "Excellence in Comprehensive Building Design" to the DuBois & King Corporate Headquarters in Randolph, Vermont. Architects TruexCullins&Partners worked with LightLouver™ to integrate striking daylighting systems into the building design.

- At the Boulder County Business Report's IQ Award Ceremonies, LightLouver LLC's innovative optical daylighting system received an IQ Award in the Commercial and Industry category. The LightLouver™ Daylighting System redirects daylight deep into the space while eliminating all direct sunlight penetration onto work surfaces.
